KASUR, April 20: Three robbers on Sunday looted a Lahore-bound wagon and injured a passenger on resistance near Mian Brothers petrol pump.

The wagon (2055-SGD) was going to Lahore from Kasur when robbers travelling in the guise of passengers whipped out their weapons. After taking passengers and the crew hostage at pistol point, they started collecting cash, wristwatches and jewellery valuing thousands of rupees. They shot at and injured seriously Abdul Sattar for holding them out. Meanwhile, the passengers overpowered one of the robbers while his two accomplices managed to escape with the booty. The injured was rushed to General Hospital, Lahore, in critical condition. Later, the robber, identified as Saifullah alias Moti Dogar, was handed over to police.
