KARACHI, April 19: Sharib, an alleged worker of the banned Harkatul Mujahideen Al-Almi, filed appeal in the Sindh High Court on Saturday challenging the life sentence awarded to him by an anti-terrorism court in the US consulate carbomb case.

The appeal was filed through advocate Maqboolur Rahman.

The counsel for the appellant cited a number of legal lacunas in the case and judgment and prayed to the court to set aside the conviction and sentence of his client. — APP
