RAWALPINDI, April 19: The judge of the anti-terrorist court no 2, Safdar Hussain Malik, on Saturday awarded death sentence to two accused in a kidnap for ransom and murder case.

The court also ordered confiscation of the properties of the convicts, Nasrullah Khan and Sakhi Sultan.

In the same case, the court sentenced two other co-accused — Ameer Abbas and Mohammad Ali alias Ahmed Ali — to life imprisonment. It also ordered confiscation of their properties.

According to the prosecution, the four men along with a couple — Rana Sarwat and his wife Mubeen Sarwat — had kidnapped a businessman, Zahid Hafeez, from Lahore and brought him to Bhara Kahu. The couple has been declared proclaimed offenders.
