MUZAFFARABAD, April 16: AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan said on Wednesday that measures were being taken for the development of Azad Kashmir and priority was being given to the education sector.

Talking to Education Minister Zobaida Jalal at his office, he said his government had been making efforts for the rehabilitation of the areas near the Line of Control affected by Indian shelling and repair of the damaged buildings. He thanked the federal government for helping the AJK government for promotion of science and technology and education. The minister said a package would be given to the AJK government for educational development and rehabilitation of the affected areas near the LoC in the next budget.—APP
