ISLAMABAD Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that world should acknowledge Pakistans proactive role in the war against terrorism.

In an interview with a Private TV Channel, he said that Pakistan was playing an outstanding role in the war against terrorism and world should laud this role if they want peace in the region.

He further said that the fight against terrorism was not just Pakistans war, but that the  world as a whole will either benefit from it or suffer from it.

Speaking about foreign aid to the nation, he said that although the IMF was assisting Pakistan to help it overcome its immediate needs, in the long-run investment was required to help create employment opportunities.
