KARACHI: Governor off to UK

KARACHI, April 16: Speaker Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah took oath as acting Sindh governor here at the governor’s house on Wednesday.

The chief justice of the Sindh High Court, Justice Syed Saeed Ashad, administered the oath.

Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar, provincial ministers, chief secretary K.B. Rind and high civil and military officials attended the oath-taking ceremony.

Earlier, the governor, Dr. Ishratul Ibad, left here for London on a private visit on Wednesday.—APP
