ISLAMABAD, Sept 12 The life of Hazrat Ali (AS) is a role model for the entire humanity who introduced first modern Islamic state by practicing the concept of Ijtehad, one of the fundamental pillars of Islamic institutions.

This was stated by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan at seminar held on the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali held at Faisal Mosque Campus on Saturday.

Hazrat Ali during his time not only emerged as the great Sahabi (companion of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) but was also appeared as a great visionary scholar on the map of the world, said the minister. “He spent his ideal life according to the teachings of Islam and to serve the humanity”, he admired the struggle of the Son-in- Law of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Highlighting the day to day affairs of life of Hazrat Ali Babar Awan said “the life of Hazrat Ali was a role model for all of us who equally treated both Muslims and Non-Muslims. “But despite all, he could never compromise over supporting the basic institutions of Islam”, he added.

Senator Talha Mahmood also appreciated the contribution of the Hazrat Ali (AS) for spreading Islam and urged the people to follow the teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) to ensure peace, love and promotion of humanity among the masses. He acted as a Justice, and acquired fame for his wise and well-reasoned judgments.

“Ali (AS) is indeed a great figure in the history of mankind in general and the history of Islam in particular,” he remarked. Dr Mohammad Yousuf Farooqi said that Hazrat Ali (AS) was the person who always preached to control the undue affairs and wishes of life.
