HYDERABAD, July 9 Cadet College Petaro as usual has bagged all the three positions among the boys in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) part-II (class-X) annual examination in science group conducted by the Board of Intermediate Secondary and Education, Hyderabad.

The results of Science and General groups were announced by the Board here on Friday.

According to the face sheet of the result of Science group, Abdullah Tahir son of Tahir Abbas secured first position with 805 marks while Mohammad Noman Sharif son of Mohammad Aslam Rana and Syed Maaz Ali Shah son of Syed Wazir Shah shared second position by obtaining 800 marks each. Third position was shared by Shaikh Saad son of Shaikh Farid and Rehan Iqbal Bablani son of Iqbal Ahmed Bablani.

Among the girl candidates, Maheen Shahid daughter of Syed Shahid Ali of Eagle House High School Tando Allahyar bagged first position by obtaining 799 marks, while Syeda Ibadat Jawaid Shah daughter of Syed Jawaid Shah of Saint Mary's Girl High School Hyderabad secured second position and Elsa Imdad daughter of Imdad Hussain of Army Public School Petaro bagged third position by obtaining 787 marks and 782 marks respectively.

A total number of 51,727 students appeared in the examination out of which 45,062 students were declared pass in all the subjects. The result of 251 candidates has been withheld for different reasons. The percentage of successful candidates on a whole is 87.12 per cent.

GENERAL GROUP In the general group, among the boys candidates, Shahzaib of Maryam Public High School Latifabad-9 Hyderabad, and Mohammad Tariq Ramzan of Government Boys High School Latifabad-7 Hyderabad shared first position by obtaining 674 marks each.

Second position was bagged by Mohammad Yaqoob of Zeeshan Model High School Latifabad-11 Hyderabad by obtaining 670 marks, while Faisal Ali of M.G. Government High School Hala secured third position by obtaining 663 marks.

Among the girl students, Nargis of Government Girls Pilot Secondary School Hirabad Hyderabad obtained first position by securing 665 marks, while Gulnaz of Government Girls High School Tando Mohammad Khan bagged second position by obtaining 658 marks, and third position has gone to Sassui daughter of Naimatullah of Government Girls High School Tandojam (Farm) who has obtained 649 marks.

A total number of 2,787 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 1660 students were declared pass.
