QUETTA, May 7 The grandson of the former ruler of princely state of Makran, Nawabzada Bhai Khan Gichki, has appealed to the federal and provincial governments and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take note of irregularities being committed by some officials in land settlements in the coastal areas of Pasni.

Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, Mr Gichki said the officials of the settlement department in Makran were robbing people of their lands through wrong measurements. He said his family had original documents to prove ownership of the lands.Mr Gichki claimed the government had assured the people of Makran at the time of accession that it would protect all assets and properties.

He said the officials were trying to deprive real owners of their right on political grounds. He called for action against the officials concerned and called for making the process of survey, registration and land settlement transparent.
