KOHAT, Aug 27 A man and his son were killed while a minor girl sustained bullet injuries when some armed men opened fire on them in Hangu Bazaar on Friday.

Hangu city police told Dawn that Aziz was going to the bazaar along with his minor son when the incident happened. They died on the spot.

The injured girl was a passer-by. She was shifted to the civil hospital. According to eyewitnesses, in-laws of Aziz came to the bazaar on a motorcycle and shot them dead.

Preliminary investigations suggested that Aziz had killed his wife and a man four months ago and was on the run since then. Brothers of his wife killed Aziz and his son in revenge.

According to Farooq, an eyewitness, some personnel of the Elite Force were present in the bazaar when gunmen opened fire on them.

Meanwhile, an unidentified man was killed in Samana area, while a boy drowned in a pool in Turki Banda of Hangu district. — Correspondent
