NAWABSHAH, May 23 Nawabshah and adjoining areas experienced the hottest day of the current summer on Sunday as temperature shot up to 50.2 degree Celsius.

Several cases of sunstroke were reported by hospitals and health centres of the district. The scorching heat forced people to remain indoors and markets and roads wore a deserted look.

APP adds Sibi experienced an unusually hot day on Sunday, with the mercury soaring to 50 degrees centigrade.

According to Met Office, Sibi was the hottest place on Sunday in Balochistan where mercury peaked at 50 degrees Celsius while Kalat recorded the lowest temperature with mercury down to 15 degrees.
