HYDERABAD Sindh minister for culture and tourism, Sassui Palijo, has said that judicious distribution of NFC award can resolve problems confronting the federating units and added that PPP believes in provincial autonomy as it strengthens the federation.

She said Sindh was facing multiple problems, despite generating 60 per cent revenue for the country; it was not being given its just share. She said the previous non-democratic governments were least interested in resolving the problems of the federating units. She added that real transfer of power at gross root level was the need of the hour.

Providing 40,000 to 50,000 jobs to the jobless youth could not resolve the problem of unemployment, she said and added that initiation of mega projects was required to resolve the unemployment problem.

Later, she addressed a large gathering of women at Tando Mohammad Khan, organised by Green Rural Development Organisation.

She said that Sindh assembly will pass a bill against domestic violence on women as well as Karo-kari and added that victims of violence will be provided free medical assistance and emergency crisis cells and burn wards will be established at divisional level.
