Gunmen kill two policemen near Mardan

PESHAWAR Unidentified gunmen attacked a police vehicle innorthwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, killing two officers and wounding twoothers, officials said.
The attack happened in Lundh Khur town of Mardan district where militants are active, local police officer Iqbal Khan said.
'Gunmenopened fire on a police van during a routine patrol and shot dead twopolice officials,' Khan told AFP. Two other policemen were seriouslywounded.
The attack took place on the road leading to the troubled Swat Valley, where Pakistani troops are battling religious militancy.
