KARACHI: Jinnah Award for Dr Pfau

KARACHI, April 10: Jinnah Society will confer ‘Jinnah Award’ on Dr Ruth Pfau of Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre on Friday in recognition of her outstanding services to Pakistan.

Senator Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Federal Minister for Investment and Privatization, will deliver key note address and confer the award on Dr Pfau who, after working in the field of leprosy, left her home country, Germany, and settled down in Pakistan in 1960.

She has been given citizenship as well as several awards by the government of Pakistan in recognition of her services.
