KARACHI Internet users attempting to access Pakistani websites are being directed towards explicit pornographic content, netizens told Dawn.com on Monday.
Internet users who add the commonly-used domain name '.com' after the Pakistani domain '.pk' are automatically being re-directed to a foreign pornography website that displays explicit content without any advance warning.
The domain '.pk' is the internet top-level domain for Pakistan. Government ministries and public sector organizations in the country use '.pk' in for their websites, including the Pakistani government's official site (www.pakistan.gov.pk) and the Ministry of Information's website (www.info.gov.pk)
