DHAKA Pakistan chances of winning a volleyball gold in the 11th South Asian Games were shattered on Thursday when they were beaten 1-3 at the hands of arch-rivals India at the Mirpur Shaheed Sohrawardy Indoor Stadium.

Pakistan got off to a brilliant start by winning the opening game but the Indians came bouncing back by snatching the second game in a similar fashion to level the terms.

However India displayed superb smashing, tactical play and consistent scoring to subdue Pakistan. -APP
