KARACHI Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) named Manzoor Hussain as the manager of the national hockey team on Friday.

Hussain, a former Olympian, was named after a meeting between the PHF and the Sports Ministry while Ahmed Alam and Ajmal Khan were named as assistant coaches for the side.

A decision on head coach for the national side was however not finalised but it is widely expected that Dutch coach Michel van den Heuvel will be handed the reigns.

The federation also named Wasim Firoz as the coach for the Pakistan Whites.
