KARACHI Abdul Qayyum's match-winner gave Abbottabad full points after a shock 2-1 win over Karachi at Junior Super Hockey League at Hockey Club of Pakistan on Tuesday.

Although the local outfit started with an Aley Imran penalty corner conversion in the fifth minute, they were shocked when Abbottabad equalised through Asad Abbas in the 14th minute.

Being coached by Pakistan junior team coach Ahmad Alam who escaped a penalty for being involved in misconduct against umpire on Monday, Karachi were rattled when Abbottabad scored the winner with Qayyum coming into action in the 27th minute.

Abbottabad were reduced to 10 players when Waqar Hassan was sent off temporarily.

Lahore managed a 1-0 win over Faisalabad thanks to a Jawaid penalty corner strike two minutes before time.

Ghaffar and M. Shoaib of Lahore were yellow-carded in the 43rd and 26th minute, while Faisalabad's Ali Hussain Faraz in the 69th minute. Jawaid was declared player of the match.

In another match, Islamabad thrashed Larkana 4-1.

The winners started with a penalty corner conversion by Faisal when the game was four minutes old. They doubled the lead in the 30th minute through Imtiaz, while Bilal Mahmood, the player of the match, got the third in the 43rd minute.

Larkana got their consolation goal in the 58th minute through S. Hassan before Islamabad completed the tally with Abdul Jabbar scoring just a minute before the end.

Samad Khan and M. Ilyas of Larkana got temporary suspension in the 71st an 64th minutes, while Islamabad's Fahad Ali and Abdul Jabbar were yellow-carded in the 58th and 38th minutes.

Two-goal Waseem Abbas helped Sialkot get the better of Peshawar 4-0.

Waseem, adjudged the player of the match, grabbed the lead for the winners through a penalty stroke in the 15th minute.

M. Adnan increased the lead with a 44th-minute penalty corner conversion before Waseem also scored on a short corner for his double in the 67th minute. M. Umair sealed the fate of the match with a strike in the 72nd minute.
