LAHORE Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) Wednesday received clearance from Pakistan Foreign Affairs Ministry to send its players to India for participation in the World Championships in Punjab, India next month.

 

PKF Secretary Muhammad Sarwar said he had just been handed over the NOC for the national kabaddi team to travel to India for the event.

 

“I am very happy because this is a very important tournament for us and we have been preparing hard for it. We just hope that the Indian High Commission also issues us visas quickly for the event,” Sarwar said.

 

The World Kabaddi Championships is being held in Patiala, Chandigarh and Jalandhar from April 3 to 12.

 

Sarwar said the team planned to travel to Indian Punjab via Wagah border once the Indian visas were issued to them.
