LAHORE, March 10 The 43rd National Men's Volleyball Championship, organised by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), will start at the Wapda Sports Complex here on Wednesday.

According to the Secretary PVF Major Mohammad Afzal, 15 teams are featuring in the national event, to be concluded on March 18, including defending champions Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Police, HEC, Fata, NWFP, Punjab, Sindh, AJK, Wapda, Railways, POF, PEB and Frontier Constabulary.

The semi-finals and final will be played on March 17 and 18 respectively, he added.

The championship was to be held from Dec 31 to Jan 6 and Jan 22 to Jan 28 in Dera Ghazi Khan but had been postponed due to the general elections and Muharram-ul-Haraam.—Agencies
