TEHRAN Pakistan thrashed arch-rivals India by 3-0 and won the bronze medal in the 14th edition of the Asian Junior Mens Volleyball Championship at Azadi Sport Complex on Sunday.

 

It was a well deserved victory for Pakistan to gain the third position in the championship.

In the first set of the match Pakistani ace spikers Zaheer Khan and Mohib Rasool played the major share with a fifteen points difference to win by 25-12.

The second set witnessed a fierce fight between the two teams but the green shirts once again overcame to clinch the set 25-11.

In the third and final set Pakistan showed their best and won by 25-20.

The Chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob extended his congratulations to the Pakistan team over their bronze medal winning performance in the championship.
