LAHORE The Pakistani Hockey team on Wednesday visited Liberty roundabout to pay tribute to martyred policemen of the Elite Force who laid down their lives protecting the Sri Lankan cricket team and International Cricket Council match officials.

The players accompanied by secretary, Pakistan Hockey Federation, Mohammad Asif Bajwa and team coaches, Shahid Ali Khan and Kamran Ashraf, offered fateha for the departed souls and laid wreaths on the spot.

They said the bravery and sacrifice of the martyred police officials will always be remembered.

They strongly condemned the attack and termed it as cowardly act. They said due to this unfortunate incident the future of Pakistan sport hangs in the balance as foreign teams will now be even more reluctant to visit the country.
