KARACHI, April 6: An elderly woman died in a road accident at Saeedabad on Sunday.

The police said 70-year-old Marium was getting down from a minibus of route X-23 (JE-8502) when she came under the wheels of the bus. She died instantaneously.

The body was sent to Civil Hospital for autopsy.

DIES: A young man who was injured on March 12 died in the JPMC on Sunday.

The police said Kamran Wajahat, aged 25, had suffered an injury inflicted by a blunt weapon.

WOUNDED: A former MPA of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and his associate were injured when unidentified men opened fire on them on Rashid Minhas Road late Saturday night.

The police said Faqir Mohammed Memon, former member of the Sindh Assembly, and his associate, Abbas Rashid, were injured when unidentified men riding a motorcycle sprayed them with bullets.
