DADU, Feb 23 The long march planned by lawyers is undemocratic as people are pretty aware of the sacrifices they gave for reviving democracy in the country, said Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro and added that it was apt to fail.

He was speaking at the District Bar Association and open Katchehry here on Monday. He said that judiciary was functioning properly and independently, as most of the sacked judges had been reinstated with few elements trying to create anarchy.

He advised those vying for politics to first resign from their present positions and then strive for becoming a politician.

He said that late Benazir Bhutto had visited the house of deposed chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry and promised to release him once PPP came into power which was honoured, accordingly.

He announced the establishment of a residential colony for lawyers of Dadu and said that 20 lawyers would follow government cases with the payment of Rs10,000 to each.
