HYDERABAD, Jan 26 The Sindh High Court Hyderabad circuit bench on Monday issued show-cause notice to the Jamshoro DPO for using contemptuous language in his communication addressed to the high court. The court also directed him and Regional Police Officer (RPO) to appear in person on Friday.

The court viewed the correspondence submitted directly to the court in the matter of one Ms Nazeeran. The DPO Jamshoro stated in his communication that inspector Manzoor Pirzada was not posted in the district therefore the DPO's office was not in a position to serve him the notice.

The court observed that through an order dated Dec 12 it was in fact RPO Hyderabad who was asked to get a notice served on the inspector or send someone to represent him on his behalf. The court asked DPO Jamshoro to submit his reply as to why contempt of court proceedings should not be initiated against him in the matter.

When the matter was taken-up Additional Advocate General (AAG) Sindh Allah Bachayo Soomro also expressed his ignorance over the communication as the same was not part of his brief of the case. Normally, each and every official correspondence relating to provincial government department is brought on record of the court through AAG Sindh in respect of any petition or miscellaneous application.

Ms Nazeeran Solangi had sought protection against the inspector of police Manzoor Pirzada stating him of harassing her and her brother Mohammad Ayub Solangi. She said that when her brother demanded his share in business, the respondent police inspector got a false case lodged against him and other family members. But the case proved to be false during the inquiry, she added.

She apprehended threat to their lives and sought protection from the court. She asked to keep her application in record, and in case of any harm, the inspector should be held responsible. She feared the police inspector may harm them or get their children kidnapped.
