HYDERABAD, April 15 The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, issued notices to Director-General Planning and Development of Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) Iqbal Ahmed, Director Panning, Saifullah Abbasi, the contractor and project director Sarfaraz Ali Shah on a contempt of court applications filed by Dhoraji Memon Cooperative Housing Society ltd through its general secretary Mohammad Aslam and in-charge Rangoon Wala Trust Zakria Daiwani.

The court also issued show cause notice to Director Planning of HDA for his non-appearance before court despite notice. The court has asked the contemnors to appear in person before the court on next date of hearing which is fixed for June 21.

A contempt of court application was filed by petitioners on the ground that respondents had violated high court order dated April 1, requiring them to maintain status quo while expanding a road.—Staff corresponent
