HYDERABAD, April 19 The Sindh Chamber of Agriculture has advised the government to announce the price of sugarcane for the next season and fix the minimum price at Rs125 per 40kg.

The board members who met here on Sunday argued that the announcement of Rs125 per 40 kilogram of sugarcane would encourage growers to cultivate more cane.

They pointed out that gunny bags was not being provided to wheat growers at many places and demanded they should be made available at the wheat procurement centres immediately.

The meeting was presided over by the board's senior vice-president Mir Murad Ali Talpur and attended by Mohammad Anwar Bachani, Dr Shahnawaz Shah, Mir Zafarullah Talpur and others.
