KARACHI, Dec 3: Capricorn Discount Card (CDC) caused a surprise when they defeated Professional Gymkhana (PG) by seven wickets in the Paragon Cup Ramzan cricket tournament at UBL Sports Complex “B” Ground Monday.

Abid Hanif hit a match winning unbeaten 54 off 43-ball with seven boundaries and two sixes as CDC overhauled PG total of 119 all out in 18.2.

Opener Nadeem Tariq was highest scorer with 41 with three boundaries. Nadeem Moosa (26) and Munir-ul-Haq (22 not out) were other main contributors.

Slow left arm spinner Rizwan Qureshi caused the main damage in PG batting ranks with four wickets for 19 runs in five overs.

When CDC batted besides Abid Hanif, opener Imran Khan made 25 in 35 balls with two fours and Tariq Ali smashed four boundaries in his 19 off 16 balls.—APP
