SHEIKHUPURA, April 1: Three people were killed and a dozen injured when a bus collided with a coaster after crushing a donkey-driven cart near Manawala on the Faisalabad road, 40km from here, on Tuesday evening.

According to reports reaching here, when the Faisalabad-bound bus (FDP-8276) reached the vicinity of Madha filling station, a donkey cart carrying kiln workers Rafique, his wife and children appeared on the road.

The bus smashed the cart, killing the couple and donkey on the spot, before ramming coaster (FDI-1276) coming from the opposite direction. The bus driver whose name could not be ascertained also died on the spot.

Seven children of the couple and five passengers sustained critical injuries.
