GHIZER The annual Shandur Polo Festival concluded here in Gilgit on Thursday with Chitral lifting the winner's trophy.

Chitral 'A' scored a 10-2 win over Gilgit 'A' in the final match of the tournament. The two regions are represented by three teams each and the 'A' teams are pitted against each other in the final.

The NWFP Minister for Population Welfare Saleem Khan, chief guest at the final, lauded the efforts of the organisers for putting the festival together despite the prevailing law and order situation in the country.
