KHAIRPUR, May 19 In Khairpur gross mismanagement was witnessed on Tuesday in the conduct of the test rescheduled for the post of primary school teachers.

However, a Sindh University press release claimed that the test was conducted in a disciplined manner under the supervision of the university in nine districts of the province on Tuesday.

It said the test was conducted at 18 examination centres set up at the district headquarters of Sindh where separate arrangements were made for male and female candidates. Total 82,714 candidates, including 64,705 male and 18,009 female, appeared in the test.

In Khairpur, the test centre for female candidates was set up at Col Shah Hostel Ground and for male candidates at Naz High School Ground.

The test paper was distributed two hours late the paper was to be started at 10am, but it was distributed at about 12 noon among female candidates. Male candidates received the paper after 12.

Reports said there was no proper arrangement for potable water and electricity fans at the centres and load shedding at 1230 pm added to the miseries of the candidates. Some invigilators were found helping candidates in solution of the paper.

Entry-slips issued by the University of Sindh carried mistakes names of candidates were misspelled, CNIC numbers and name of husband or of father were wrong.

Some candidates, including female, were not allowed to take their tests as they could not receive their entry-slips. Strict security arrangements were made outside the test centres. In Khairpur, around 17,000 candidates appeared in the test.
