MIRPURKHAS, April 30 A man alleged to have been kidnapped and tortured, was handed over to police in injured condition on Thursday.

Abid Arain of Badal Shah village, taluka Digri, after handing over the injured man to police, lodged a case under section 324, 504 and 34 PPC against the injured Ashiq Arain and Maqbool Arain and Mohammad Latif.

SHO taluka police station, Nawaz Serai issued a letter for the seriously wounded Ashiq Arain for his medical treatment at the Civil Hospital.

Ashiq Ali Arain told reporters at the Civil Hospital that his rivals Asghar Arain, Sajid Arain, Abid Arain, Abbas Arain, Akhtar Arain, Akbar Arain, Shoukat Arain and others came to his house on motorbikes and a white car early on Thursday and kidnapped him. Ashiq Arain was taken to Danish Petrol Pump where his hands and legs were tied and he was subjected to torture resulting in serious wounds to his legs, hands and other parts of the body.

He said that later he was handed over to Taluka Police Mirpurkhas and implicated in a false case of attempt to murder along with his relatives.

He further said that earlier also, he was implicated in a false case of kidnapping and rape by his rivals. Ashiq Arain said that he was subjected to torture and excesses by his by rivals because he had held a press conference against the atrocities of influential landlord nazim UC Mirwah Gorchani Choudhry Ashraf Arain. He demanded of the Provincial Police Officer, RPO Hyderabad, DIG Mirpurkhas and DPO Mirpurkhas to take immediate notice and provide him justice.

Doctors told reporters that torture marks were found on the body of Ashiq Arain and later he was admitted to surgical ward of the civil hospital owing to serious wounds.
