Woman hurt in Multan blast dies

OKARA, Dec 14 A woman who was admitted to CMH, Multan, after being critically injured in Dec 8 Multan bomb blast succumbed to her injuries on Monday and was laid to rest at her native 9/I.R village, some 25 Kilometre from here.

The deceased, Saleema Murtaza's two daughters Sana Murtaza (7) and Amna Murtaza had died along with her mother-in-law Riaz Bibi on Dec 8 when the powerful blast razed their house in the cantonment area.

Saleema was going to her house in Qasim Bela on Dec 8, along with her husband Naik Murtaza, when the blast occurred, leaving her injured critically. Saleema and her third daughter Saba Murtaza (4) were admitted to the CMH, Multan.

Naik Murtaza told Dawn that Saba had been deprived of her legs, a forearm and eyes in the blast.
