DADU, March 15: The federal minister for industries and production, Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi, has said the National Fertilizer Company will establish a phosphate unit in Hyderabad.

Speaking at a press conference at the circuit house here on Saturday, Mr Jatoi said small industries would be established in the country and the government would provide loans for establishing factories.

He disclosed that Pakistan and Russia had signed an accord for a loan of $90 million for extension work at the Steel Mill which would increase production of the mill.

He said the government would sanction loans to make closed industries functional.

The minister said he had directed the Dadu DCO to collect information regarding 11 industrial units which were closed due to various reasons.

He also promised reduction in fertilizers’ prices.
