Internet clubs in Chakwal

Published March 25, 2010

THE advent of the Internet has turned the world into a global village.

The Internet has many advantages, but it is we who misuse the modern innovation.

The misuse of the Internet by teenagers is destroying our future generation.

I would like to draw the attention of the area MNA and district police officer and the commissioner towards different Internet clubs operating in the Chakwal city.

Recently I had a chance to visit an Internet club in Haji Waris Plaza (the MNA's house and the said plaza both are situated in the same street).

I was shocked to notice that the net club was infested with teenagers watching porno movies.

They were not watching these movies through You tube or any other website, rather the movies had been downloaded and already saved in a separate folder by the owner of the club. Such net clubs are bent upon destroying our teenagers.

Authorities concerned should take immediate action against such clubs if youth is to be saved.
