KARACHI, March 9: A young woman was found murdered in Defence Housing Authority on Saturday night.

The police said that a woman, who was in her late 30s, was found murdered in the bushes near DHA College in Khayaban-i-Shaheen, DHA Phase-VIII.

Initially, the body could not be identified.The body was sent to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre for post-mortem.

Sources at the hospital said that the woman had suffered two bullet injuries: one to the head and the other to the chest.

Hospital sources said that the body was at least 13-14 hours old and it had remained exposed to sun.

Later, the dead woman was identified as Tehmeena Bahram, aged 28, wife of Nayhar Bahram. The man works in a private bank.

The dead woman’s car (Suzuki ADF-431) was found parked in the basement of a commercial building in Block-8 of Clifton.The car’s key and a ring were found from the dead woman’s clothes. She was wearing a necklace, the police said.

Quoting Tehmeena’s husband, the police said that she had been missing since Friday night.

“She went to a dinner, saying that she might go to her mother’s house if she was late,” the police said, quoting Tehmeena’s husband.

The man came to know of the killing of his wife through an evening newspaper.Tehmeena was resident of Jamshed Bagh, Soldier Bazaar.

ROAD ACCIDENT: A man died in a road accident in the police limits of Kalri on Sunday.

The police said that Azmat Khan, aged 30, was run over by a speeding passenger coach while walking across a road.

He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. He lived in KDA flats at Mauripur.The coach driver sped off after the accident.
