ISLAMABAD, March 4: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is holding a three-day meeting to finalize the curriculum of Pakistan Studies being taught in colleges/universities at graduate and postgraduate level.

The HEC director-general (curriculum), Prof Dr Altaf Ali G. Sheikh, presided over a meeting of National Curriculum Revision Committee to finalize the suggestions/comments received from various universities all over the country regarding curriculum of Pakistan Studies formulated in the preliminary meetings.

The committee will finally develop a draft curriculum of the discipline, which will be forwarded to all the universities for implementation.

The experts attending the meeting are: Prof Bahadur Khan Rodini, University of Balochistan; Dr Imdad Hussain Sahito, Shah Abdul Latif University; Dr Khalid Javed Makhdoom, Government College Lahore; Prof Gul Mohammad Phul, University of Sindh; Lubna Saif, Allama Iqbal Open University; Dr Adnan Nayyar, Lok Virsa; Nayyar Masood, Lahore College for Women; Rafia Malik, Government College for Women, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi; Riaz Begum, F.G. College for Women, Islamabad; Syed Umar Hayat, National Institute of Historical and Cultural Research; Dr Sadiq Ali Gill, University of the Punjab; Lahore and Prof Dr Ghulam Hyder, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.—APP
