MIRAMSHAH, June 27 Six suspected militants were killed and four others injured on Sunday when a US drone fired two missiles at a compound in North Waziristan.

This was the second attack in the area during the last 24 hours.

On Saturday, a compound was hit in Mirali tehsil and three unidentified people were killed and two others injured.

Official sources said that a vehicle parked in the compound was destroyed in Sunday's attack in Tapai Toolkhel, some 2km from Miramshah.

The identity of the dead and the injured could not be ascertained.

According to AFP, more than 900 people have been killed in nearly 100 drone strikes in Pakistan since August 2008, including a number of top militants.
