KARACHI, Feb 27: The Sindh Ombudsman, Justice Haziqul Khairi, has instructed that in future the University of Karachi should not discriminate between the morning programme students and those of the evening programme with regard to convocation and conferring degrees.

According to a press release issued by the Provincial Ombudsman office on Thursday, students of Master of Public Administration (MPA) evening programme, University of Karachi, had made representation before the Ombudsman and lodged a complaint against the KU for discrimination by excluding them from receiving their degrees at the convocation to be held on Saturday. They requested that they should be awarded degrees at the convocation or the convocation be postponed to a future date.—PPI
