Man held in Ludhianvi’s murder case

RAWALPINDI, Nov 28: An activist of a religious group, wanted by Sindh police, was arrested from Pirwadhai area on early Wednesday morning, the authorities disclosed.

Hassan Ali, was wanted by the police in connection with the ongoing investigations of Maulana Mohammad Yousuf Ludhianvi’s murder. The maulana was assassinated in Karachi on May 5, 2000.

Earlier on last night, the police raid on a house in Islamabad proved unproductive.

However, Hassan Ali was arrested from Pirwadhai on Wednesday. A police party from Karachi has arrived in Rawalpindi to take custody of the accused.
