KHAIRPUR, Feb 26: Eight members of a family were bitten by a pye dog in the Mureed Haji village, Sobhodero Taluka, on Tuesday.

The family was returning to their village when the pye dog attacked them. All eight members of the family, including four women, whose names could not be ascertained, were seriously injured. The males were Irshad Jamro, Aijaz, Haji, and Ali Khan.

Their four cattle heads were also bitten by the dog.

The villagers told this correspondent that the victims were admitted to the rural centre but no anti-rabies vaccines were available there.

PASSENGERS LOOTED: Seven unidentified armed men blocked a section of the Pir Jo Goth-Sajan Mahessar road in Kingri Taluka and looted passengers.
