Woman, daughter stabbed

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 14: A woman and her daughter were stabbed and wounded badly early Thursday morning on resistance by three masked dacoits in Rehmat Colony.

Masked dacoits entered the house of Bashir Kamboh by scaling its boundary wall. Seeing unfamiliar faces in their house, women inmates Zohran Bibi and her daughter Nasim raised an alarm. The intruders became jittery and stabbed and injured both the mother and her daughter and fled.

KILLED: A youth was killed while several others received injuries while flying kites in and around the city on the eve of Basant.

Javed of Kot Abdul locality was flying kite on his rooftop when he fell down on the ground. He died while being taken to hospital.

Similarly, several others sustained injuries.

KILLS BROTHER: A man, Shehbaz, shot dead his younger brother Amanullah on Eid day over a money dispute in Muridke.
