KARACHI, Feb 14: The Edhi Foundation has distributed more than 55 tons of meat of sacrificial animals among those who have been displaced due to construction of the 16.7km Lyari Expressway and the deserving people at the Afghan Camp near Sohrab Goth.

A spokesman said on Friday that the Foundation had distributed 15 tons of meat during the two days of Eid.

Besides, 40 tons of meat was distributed among the needy people at the Afghan camp on the Superhighway and other areas.

He said meat of two cows was also donated to the juvenile prison.

The spokesman said the Foundation also distributed thousands kilograms of meat among the poor in the far-flung ares in Hyderabad, Larkana, Multan, Sukkur, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Quetta, through the Edhi ambulances.
