SIALKOT, Feb 6: A robber was killed while a constable sustained injuries late Thursday night in an encounter near Dugri village, Head Marala.
Three armed robbers were looting passers-by after creating a picket on the main road. On a tip-off, a heavy police contingent of Head Marala, Kotli Loharan and Muradpur police stations reached there. On seeing the police, the robbers opened fire on them which was returned. As a result, a robber died instantly while constable Wahid Murad received bullet wounds. The two other outlaws managed to escape in the darkness.
