NAWABSHAH: Two women were among four persons killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari in the village of Gulzar Zardari on Tuesday.

The victims were identified as Kazbano, 18, daughter of Shah Mohammed Zardari; Shahzadi, 26, wife of Panah Zardari, Ismail, 20, son of Punhal Zardari, and Yousuf, 25, son of Faiz Mohammed Zardari.

Sources in police said that Shaukat Zardari, brother of Kazbano, and Moosa Zardari, brother of Shahzadi, who were behind the brutal act, had been arrested.

The bodies were taken to Peoples Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

A heavy contingent of police was deployed around the village to avoid any untoward incident.

No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

MIRPURKHAS: A man killed his wife on Monday night in the village of Detho Shar.

Police said Jalal Shar suspected that his wife Sheeni, 20, was fond of a man named Mohammad Younus, 18.

Late on Monday, Jalal shot them dead and escaped.

The Sindhri police took the bodies to the mortuary of Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital for a post mortem.

On Tuesday morning, the bodies were handed over to their heirs after a post mortem.

They were laid to rest at their ancestral graveyard.

No case of the killing was lodged with Sindhri police station till filing of the news.

LARKANA: A man shot dead his teenage handicapped sister the other day on the pretext of Karo-Kari in the village of Abdullah Lashari on the outskirts of Larkana city.

Sources said Niaz Hussain, who fled afterwards, suspected that his sister Salama Qambarani, 17, was fond of a man, Manthar Lashari.

Salama’s father Haji Atta Muhammed Qambrani took the body to the casualty department of Chandka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

He told reporters that on Monday, Niaz attacked his daughter and Manthar Lashari in the fields and killed her for honour.
