TOBA TEK SINGH, April 1: PPP former federal minister Khalid Ahmad Kharal quit the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and joined the PML-N on Monday.

Addressing a press conference along with PML-N candidate for NA-94 and ex-federal minister Chaudhry Asadur Rehman at his residence at Kamalia, he said the PTI leadership was not serious about taking decisions on award of tickets to its candidates.

He said he had applied for a PTI ticket for his NA-94 constituency but when he knew that the party leadership had been delaying the decision without any reason, he did not file his nomination papers and he and his son Haider Khan Kharal would not contest the coming election.

Kharal said he joined PML-N unconditionally and announced his support to its ticket holder Asadur Rehman.

Asadur Rehman's nephew and legal adviser to Sharif brothers Mustafa Ramday has welcomed the decision of Mr Kharal.

Meanwhile, district PML-N Senior Vice-President Nazirur Rehman and Rajana chapter President Mehr Rashid Sadiq have announced quitting PML-N in protest against issuance of ticket for PP 87 (Rajana) to ex-MPA Sardar Ayub Gadhi.
