KARACHI: Senior Leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and deputy convener of the party's Rabita Committee Farroq Sattar said on Wednesday that the party was being targeted both directly and indirectly in Karachi, DawnNews reported.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters Nine zero at Karachi, Sattar expressed concern of the situation in  Karachi and said that on one hand people were targeted over sectarian grounds in the city whereas on the other hand activists and supporters of MQM were being targeted in addition to the gang-war killings  and murders of law enforcement personnel.

He further said that the MQM had 85 per cent mandate in Karachi and hence unrest in the city is damaging the party's image.
