LAHORE, Jan 26: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has allowed two players to represent their new department at the ongoing 50th national hockey championship after Rs10,000 penalty.

Waseem Ahmad and Naveed Iqbal were disallowed to represent Wapda in the departmental qualifying round in Lahore as they did not inform the PHF within the given time. Both had quit Habib Bank and joined Wapda last year.

However, PHF finally has allowed them to play for Wapda after penalty of Rs10,000 for each player.
