KARACHI, March 14: Former champions University of Karachi and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) set a date with each other in the final of the 36th Inter-university Zone G Basketball Championship at The Aga Khan University court on Wednesday.

The KU carved out 55-25 victory over Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) while DUHS gets the better of The Aga Khan University 73-41 in the two semi-finals.

Syed Adnan Ali and Tahir Ahmed turned out to be the main scorers for winners contributing 19 and 15 points respectively while Ali Chanzeb scored seven. The KU led 38-13 at half time. Taha Rasool and Israr Hassan scored 12 and nine respectively fo losers.

In the other semi-final, Hammad Aftab top scored for DUHS with 17 points and was assisted by Ghazi Khan (15) and Sabih Alam (12). Muzammiluddin and Arsalan Fazal scored 11 points apiece for losers.
