KARACHI, May 2: Seasoned Saleh Mohammad from Afghanistan and Omar Al Kojah from Syria Thursday entered their names in the annals of the game by storming into their maiden final of the 29th Jubilee Insurance Asian Snooker Championship in the Darbar Hall of hotel Sheraton.

“Karachi is like my home and a lot of friends were praying for my success after Pakistan’s elimination,” he told Dawn.

Contrary to the first, the second semi-final went to full distance with Omar making a comeback into the game four times to register victory.

Omar shot into 2-0 lead taking the first and second fames 55-69, 69-65 but soon saw the lead slipped from his hand and trailed 2-3 losing 0-81, 29-59, 18-102.
